Riverside Behavioral Center

Riverside Behavioral Center is a 52-bed, private, psychiatric and Baker Act receiving facility. We offer acute, inpatient adult and geriatric services within our facility located on the campus of Bayfront Health Punta Gorda. Commitment to caring and excellence is paramount, and our goal is to provide the finest mental health for individuals and their families. A blend of professional staff members provide the expertise and skills needed in a dedicated treatment.

Treatment team

It is our goal to provide personalized patient care and we start by listening. We believe that each individual has unique needs. Our multidisciplinary team works together to address those needs in a professional, caring and confidential manner.

Treatment teams are led by a psychiatrist who works with a group of professionals including psychologists, rehabilitation professionals, therapists and nurses. In conjunction with the team, each patient works to understand and modify attitudes and behavior so that recovery and reintegration into family and community life happen as smoothly as possible.

We offer individualized care in a safe, supportive environment, and develop comprehensive treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each person:

• Inpatient care is designed to help individuals work through acute mental challenges and resume daily functioning.
• Outpatient services are available within the community for individuals with emotional or psychological issues.
